General: - New Members (Seat, RTI, Wipers)

Hello everyone!

I am new on this forum and have already lots of useful answers...

I bought a Volvo S40 SE with com pack about 2 months ago. it was first registered in Jan 05 but had only 3500 miles.

I love the car althoughI had a few issues already:

- There is no long wave band on the radio which is a shame

- I have a click problem on the driver seat (but I saw on a post that this should be resolved by my dealer)

- I think the wipers make a lot of noise but that might be me...and the automatic function is difficult to tune. It's a shame to have to turn it on again everytime you park the car.

- I have the RTI SAT NAV and I can go to the RTI menu and select a station for traffic info but I never get any messages... should it work or do I need a DVD. Finally it's a shame you have to go to the setting to change the map colour to night, it could have been automatic...

To get the RTI traffic updates to work you have to have an 06 DVD from Volvo unfortunately, at a cost of £240! The TMC works very well though, it has to be said!
