Hi CP,
Is the GLT engine a B230F by any chance? I might be after one for a spare/rebuild. Cheers Alex

My 1989 240 GLT auto has a B230E engine but I'm sure there was another 2.3 engine available?
Wish I had storage space and the spare cash as would buy as spares. My engine has 227,000 miles and an AW70 auto gearbox. Probably out of the 2 the gearbox would be the most likely to need replacement. Over the 6 years of ownership replaced the tail housing due to bearing leaking/worn and used cross-member due to being bent at around 191,000. Also had 2 sets of gearbox cooler pipes at £100 the pair due to first lot corroding and 3 years later due to bad installation. Does the gearbox include the torque convertor? James |

Unfortunately living on a narrowboat I have no storage space and relatives live in flats with no garden. Unfortunately saving for my Mooring fees £565 a quarter and my boat license £744 a year so money tight atm then MOT and tax on car due early November!
Thanks. James |
