Have a look at that Andrew, it's a pdf attachment, it sort of explains the model numbering system.
Many thanks - I've printed that and will keep it in Great Aunt Maud's records.

I would keep it too, worth its weight in gold.

Maud looks a very nice lady!

I agree, GAM looks perfect for myself and the RB.

The motor car came with a bit of history: the original service and warranty book with stamps going back to 1963-69, the original driver's handbook... then about a 25 year gap and except some tax discs, and then everything from 2009 onwards.

I', very taken with the motor car.

:-)

Well V6 Mondeos are rare as these days and me and my 1995 960 Estate would argue on the interesting, good looking and rare front .. the last of the Volvo RWDs is a good looking car better proportioned in my view than an 850 Estate from the same era and definitely better looking than the V70.

My S80 V8 may never be classic looking but as an oddball rarity in the Volvo stable I would argue it too is of growing future interest.

I bought a 1978 Princess in the 1990s for £100 pounds it would be worth 40 times that or more now 30 years later.

Nostalgia is the word that drives the market place and many of us hanker after that moment in life, that car, toy, gadget, etc; that reminds us of a simpler or better time.

You are so right about nostalgia being the key to the historic car market. I couldn't agree more.

Don.
I thought I'd recognised this one from previously:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203796281917?hash=item2f73347a3d:gRgAAOSwwrRh6AF m

... it looks like the seller has done not much to it, and is now on sale at £6,950. So, around £2,500 profit minus expenses... but the dealer has to sell it at that price first.

Those look like many of the photos from the original listing when it was near Kings Lynn Alan, a few newer ones but it seems like the current seller has done little or nothing and is just flipping it.

330,000 miles, full of rust and no MoT and an abysmal MoT history... but the seller is still looking for 2 grand for this £600 motor car!

Some people :-)
Wonderful! So this 330,000 mile rust bucket fails to sell at £1,950, so the seller’s answer is to re-advertise it at £2,495.

What a bizarre world we live in.

:-)

I see the asking price is down to £1,995 now - I still think it is a £600 motor car :-).
