Default Lumbar Support Collapse

Hi Folks,

The lumbar support has given way in my V70 driver's seat.

I have the replacement assembly and am going to have a go at fitting it myself.

Before I get stuck in, please could someone remind me of the correct procedure for removing the seat without triggering the airbags etc.?

Many thanks in advance,

Boots.

Reconnect everything except battery
Double check the connections
Check key in POS II
Reconnect battery
Set clock

If I remember well, you may try it without removing the seat

At the bottom, the skin is grabbing on the side a plastic piece (just slide it over) and in the center I think it's secured again just like a zip lock if I remember well.
The lumbar knob has a center cap that pops off, then unscrew the center piece and remove the knob. From there try pushing the skin upwards until you see the lumbar cables from behind

Otherwise removing the seat is not amusing - it is very heavy and big. You'll need to remove the head rest first - ask someone to pull on it while you try to keep depressed both clips behind the skin.
