Heated seat wiring.
I have just had a look at my 1999 V70 (series 1). I would like to have heated seats and I think that the pads and wiring may be already present as there appears to be a wire running up to the rear of the seat cushion on the (non electric) passenger side. Can anyone tell me the wiring colours please for the connectors under the seat so that can be sure that I am looking at the right bit please?

Front seat heating wiring was standard from factory regardless if the car had seat heating or not. Also it appears that starting with MY 99 power seats wiring were more or less included, especially when the drivers seat was electric they seem to had put also the wiring for the passengers seat. If the connector has 3 wide cable terminals (Standard timer) then they are for the power seat.
For the rear the V70 is partially prewired up to the big connector in the center console. The V70 had no weight detection sensor, only the seat belt buckle sensor which is taken into acount by the SRS System starting with MY99 onwards. Last edited by scutyde; Jul 20th, 2018 at 13:54. |
