Engine shut down while doing 120 KPH on highway, all warning lights came on, no unusual noises, no temperature, no tainting of oil or coolant, all five cylinders have lost compression, timing belt is good cam turning over and after placing a camera into each bore the is no visible sign of damage????
Has anyone had a similar experience? Any thoughts? |

Is there no or just low compression? If it's none then they are probably not moving at all, do they move if you turn the engine over with the plugs out? If not then the crank has broken at the flywheel end I imagine.
If all five are low on compression to the same extent as one another I'd be suspicious of the compression testing kit! I can't think of anything that would lower compression across all five cylinders short of a spectacular failure of the head gasket for all give cylinders simultaneously, which would surely contaminate oil or water too. Have you been able to get the volvo VIDA software on it to read the codes? Assuming the cylinders are moving as normal I'd be inclined to think it's an electronic fault of some sort.
