I think that's a similar idea and it doesn't look to be going flush either, but I think once it's in, it'll stay that way. I've had a mental one with a divider in my xc90 and it was a blessing. Had to get it once we've discovered that net wasn't sufficient enough to stop the dog from climbing through. Only got V50 on Saturday, so still getting used to it.

Ah, so it actually goes only to rear seat height and parcel shelf is still there. interesting...

FoxyR - tip for you - her royal fluffiness always wears harness that has front clip for the leash, so for the transport I always attach short lead that I anchor to one of the hooks in boot floor. She has enough lead to roam in boot and to lie down whenever wants, but prevents her from jumping to rear seats or from the boot to the ground when lid is open. Just small safety measure that always worked for us.

Thanks for the tip! did you get a Volvo one? I spotted it last time I was in their showroom but kind of begrudging paying £60 odd quid for it. I know some people will frown upon me saying that, but when you have 3 young kids, £60 is a lot for a dog harness with an attachment for anchoring.

huh, ok, on that pic by Considered1 looks like its still there, but its XC so maybe different.

As for harness - I certainly hope for 60quid its make of silk with golden stitching I am using something like this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 as its also my dogs daily harness that prevents her from pulling like a sled master. The piece connecting it to floor hook can be an old leash that you cut and modify to appropiate lenght, or something as simple as this that I am using . Ofcourse I use a carabine attachment to clip it to floor hook, but works as good and cost less than a cup of coffee
