Default Volvo C70 2.4 LPT Coupe - 65,000 miles

I'm having second thoughts about selling one of my low mileage 240's (been driving them for over 30 years) - which my C70 was supposed to replace.

My manual C70 drives beautifully, lovely light clutch, no rattles, whistles or clonks. Slide and tilt sunroof, aircon still works. I've had the front seat leather refreshed, the alloys have recently been refurbed. Good tyres all round. Gleaming paintwork. No stains to interior or boot carpet.

Not perfect, but a rare survivor in this condition and mileage. Effortless to drive on a long journey. However, most of my journeys these days are local ones - which I enjoy more in an old flying armchair 240!

Good time to buy as the coupe is becoming rare and good ones are starting to appreciate.

Price? I'll consider offers, but would arrange for a full service and cambelt change (for peace of mind) for £3250ono. MOT circa 10 months (will need to check).

That does look lovely. I wish I could justify the expense of another car in my fleet!

They look best with those bbs wheels for sure.

Mine is in very similar condition, same spec aside mines an auto and 145k. In a few years time I can see value of these going up, not massively, but there will always be a few folk who appreciate them.

Good luck! With that milage and condition you should get good offers. There are a lot of very very rough c70 out there that folk try to compare with, dont let them!

Many thanks for your complimentary comments and advice chaps.

My Volvo 240GLT needs a couple of trim bits fitting, then she'll be ready for the road. I'll probably leave it to the spring now to finish her off and make the decision whether to use it and let the C70 go, or vice versa. Nice problem to have I guess.

Thanks again.
