iPhone X unable to connect via USB / iPod
Hello,
(Reposting in the correct one this time - ) I have a XC60 ('16 plate) and have been using an iPhone 6 connected via USB and using the iPod function to play music. The iPhone has always been updated (currently iOS 11). I've now just upgraded my phone to the iPhone X and now when connected I get a message "iPod Unreadable". Any ideas if this is something that can be resolved? |

Sounds like you are on the original IOS of 11 which did have a few issues.
Suggest you update to the latest IOS 11.2 which has been out a few days ow.7

The iOS update was the first thing I did when I got the phone. The problem does seem to have gone away. Not sure why, but I have just updated the maps on the Satnav and after that I was able to see all my iTunes music. Not sure if there was some firmware update for the system along with the map updates.

The Sensus product will periodically fail to find the music library when connected via USB and sometimes it can take ages to sync the library. This has been a fault for several years now and whilst it is much better now the problem remains.
Often disconnecting the phone and reconnecting can cure the issues, sometimes the phone needs rebooting and sometimes restarting Sensus cures this issue. All in all, Sensus is a pretty poor product I’m this day and age.

I just used Siri on the iPhone and shout “hey Siri play my XC60 playlist” or whatever you want over Bluetooth.
