Default 55plate xc90 front screen demist

Hi guys, thanks for letting me into the club.

I’ve recently bought a xc90 55 plate and I’ve got front screen demist issues. I’ve tried all of the usual variations of controls regarding the fan heater etc. I know diesels take ages to heat up but I would say it’s regarding the fan or the popping system that directs the air to the screen as when the fan is on max there is very little air flow. I’m thinking either blockage or one of the pipes has come of somewhere behind the dash.

TIA

Matt

Check the pollen filter isn't blocked. It sits underneath the dash in the passenger footwell. A few torx screws to remove to get to it.

And if you find the pollen filter is blocked, ask yourself: what other annual maintenance items have been neglected on this vehicle? And then go over it with a fine tooth comb and check everything thoroughly....
