Was this a good buy?
I just bought a Volvo and since I don't know much about cars, I would like your opinions whether you think the car is worth the 1700 Euro I paid for it (in Germany)
Model: 850 GLT, estate Year of registration: 1994 Fuel: Petrol Transmission: Automatic Mileage (km): 210,000 Engine size: 2400cc Engine power: 170hp Also included: partial leather, sufroof, immobilizer, central locking system, 4 x winter tyres, Radio/Cassette/CD player + CD changer Purchased from dealer with 1 year warranty. Car has always been serviced by Volvo garage. It has one or two small dents. Thanks for your opinions. |

Are you asking whether it is a cheap buy or a good buy because they are two entirely different things.
Being from Australia, I don't know anything about the cost of used Volvos in Germany so I would be stupid to comment on whether it was a cheap buy or not - but you will, overtime, come to your own conclusion whether it was a good buy or not. No other person but yourself will be able to come to this conclusion. |

Thanks both of you. I see what you mean Volgrrr.
1700 Euro is approx. 1450 GBP at the moment, Cam. I have the feeling I may have paid a bit too much for the car as I've seen similar cars go for less than that on eBay. However, not knowing much about cars, I thought it was a good idea to buy from a dealer so that I know there is nothing seriously wrong with the car when I buy it. As I said, the dealer has given me a one-year warranty. The dealer has also done the TÜV (MOT) for me, so the next inspection isn't due until a few years. |
