Default B20 alternator to other side.

I guys. Need a help. Iam trying now to put my alternator to puel pump side. But have problems with bolts. We have only metric bolts in shop so i need to order unc type bolts so maybe some one can tell me what size and tread type are these bolts in engine block so i can order them??

First bolt in egine head


And secound 2 bolts are on side of engine block

The problem with the alternator is getting it to clear the steering box. The two holes on the side are for a cast bracket with a single hole at the top for the lower fitting on the alternator. It pivots on this. You will need this bracket. With it I think you can get enough clearance but I've no experience with the LHD fitting. Nice looking engine and a change from the usual red.

Hi, on my B20, the #1 top bolt is 3/8 UNC. The 2 bottom ones appear to be 5/16 UNC, but they’re loose. I don’t have any metric bolts to check the bottom ones. but it’s doubtful they are metric. They may be loose due to some activity by a PO, possibly they are there for a dealer installed AC, which I don’t have. I have no bolts or anything installed in either location since I acquired the car.

Checking in on an older post; Do you have pictures of your new alternator mount / installation?

My alternator becomes way to hot due to the 4-2-1 exhaust header..
