Looking for Temporary Spare Tire - '95 940
Hello,
I have 95 940 in very good condition. This week I had a leaky tire valve in one of the tires and needed to use the spare to get me to the tire repair shop. It was probably the first time the spare has ever been used. Although the spare worked, it was in very marginal condition. Eighteen years of sitting in the trunk and drying out has taken its toll. The tire shop said to get a new spare. The only problem is where do you get a new "donut" temporary spare 155 x 15 tire? Tire dealers don't carry it, the Volvo dealership doesn't carry it, and the junk yards may have ones - but they are just as old and therefore of little help. The Volvo dealership said that the temporary spare I needed was used in the 740, 760, 940, & 960. Any suggestions on where to buy a new "donut" temporary spare that will fit in the spare well of the trunk for my 95 940? Any online resources in the U.S? Thanks! |

Full size spares fit in the well, I doubt Volvo changed the bodyshell pressings on US spec cars and they fit European spec cars. Just lob a normal wheel in the back.
