This is the video I followed also, yes you need Vida to get correct oil temp or you could end up with too much or too little oil in your box and you need to reset oil counter

Just as an update, she sailed through her MOT yesterday and they changed the gearbox oil at the same time.........massive difference even on a car that's only done just under 41k and with no towing.

The changes are barely perceptible now, it's brilliant.

Meets the spec and specifically references AW transmissions but I've never heard of the make...... really good price.

I would not touch it!

Why risk a multiple 1000's pound gearbox to save a few pound on the oil.

Get Toyota T-IV - it is the stuff made for the Aisin-Warner transmission - and Aisin is a company owned by Toyota.

Same company that makes Mannol oil which loads on here including me use in their auto boxes.
I also use their diff oils.
No problems whatsoever.

How about this one then?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ATF-JWS-3...xH9:rk:11:pf:0

Its almost twice the price of the last one I linked to.
I agree that it's better to use a quality oil, but is there any real difference between a cheaper and dearer gearbox oil?

Can anyone link an alternative 20 litre deal that's a similar price or less?

Have you priced T-IV from a Toyota dealer?
