gearbox identification
anyone know which gearbox part number 1023561 is?
also has P10 and 860314 on the case came out of a 87 240 gl and is a 5 speed manual thanks in advance |

The earlier M47s have a take-off for a cable speedometer drive. The later ones don't because the cars used the electronic axle-pickup.
It doesn't matter which kind you use if you don't need the speedo drive. |

Thanks very much for the info. No cable drive speedo so late time then. Just removed from my own car and looking to sell it so best to have the full details on it
