I've been looking to do this for a while, as I do far too much reversing down country roads in the pitch black. Could you spare the time to grab a pic from inside the car? What sort of wattage did you go for?

Changed the air filter and pollen filter with some genuine Volvo items. The air filter was clean but the pollen filter has some large pieces of crap in it

Funny enough, it was also a Saab that I encountered the worst one I have ever seen. One owner 9000 with a full service history. The cabin filter was completely flat because all the folds were completely full!

Default Re LED Reversing lights

Sorry about the delay in replying but I have had to wait until it was dark to test them. Katur super bright 1156 1005 1141 7506 BA15S LED back-up and turn signal lights from Amazon are 1200 lumens. The lumens are important, not the wattage. They are 1.95 inches long so fit easily to replace BA15S bulbs.
Free delivery £10.99 for the pair (two of them). While a 3-4 week delivery time from the USA was listed they came in 6 days!

They are white light and seem to be about twice as bright as the old bulbs, which cost 60-70p. You can get higher lumens (1500 or 1800) but they're more expensive, costing £15-18. Just make sure that the size of the LED replacement is the same length as the old Lucas filament bulbs, so as not to touch the white plastic lens cover.

Tried it on the tensioner today (not quite ready for doing the belts just yet) and using my long reach Snap-On spanner it's a perfect fit.
