I forgot to say: If you're buying the Gliptone stuff and and if your seats are like mine, there should be no need for faffing around with mixing the colour: I just selected the pre-mixed "Volvo: many models 1990s - dark grey" colour listed in their bank of colours on the web site, and it's an excellent match.

excellent guide.
I have found in the past some v70s with the heat pads in place, simply the switch missing. |

I don't suppose I'm the first person to have bought the switches (back in May I think), put them in, switched on and sat there for a minute or two going "please...?" It would certainly save a bit of work. Do you reckon these V70s were made that way, or that someone had at some point replaced unheated with heated seats but never added the switches?

This guide is just amazing. I could really do with heated seats and this guide will make my life a trillion times easier if/when I come to fit them. Thank you!

Thanks.
Personally I think if you have ice-fishing as a hobby you are asking for trouble. Not my idea of fun at all. Did you get a block heater in the end? The car will be a whole lot more comfortable than you! For the seats I reckon there are plenty of used heated seats out there. The hard work is in finding someone kind enough to make your life easy by removing the old pads, so that you don't have the hassle of collecting old seats or paying someone to deliver them. It's only an unhurried afternoon's work once you have the pads.
