Sensus Connected Touch on XC60
Hi all,
Am new here and first posting may be me being a bit thick! I've just taken delivery of a 2014 XC60 SE LUX. I added the 7" upgraded sound, which I assumed was the sensus touch. But this isn't a touch screen, so can't find spotify or any of the other apps other than tunein radio. Have I been a bit dumb, is the connected touch extra above the £500 I just paid? Confused! |

I think you may also find that it is a bit more than £500 Sorry to be the bear of bad tidings, but welcome aboard - you will get the answers to your questions from the people here!

I suspect that you have also got a better sound system also, perhaps the high performance audio? Did this also provide you DAB radio?
The SCT would bring you iGo navigation, it is actually a rebadged Parrot product, whereas the SC Nav is provided by Here which is what used to be Nokia Maps and Navteq. I presume that you have not upgraded to Nav version?

From what I can gather from my car buying research , spotify and the other apps will be available as a software upgrade to your system from May, wether there is an associated cost with that isn't known yet.All new cars delivered from may will have the latest apps software pre installed, not sure if that also applies to the smaller 5inch screen version, what I can't get an answer on is if the new cars will come with the touch screen.

They will get the touch screen if you upgrade to SCT otherwise you will get the plain SC.

I have to admit to being ever so slightly miffed. Had I known what I was getting I wouldn't have shelled out £500! The car is fantastic and otherwise really chuffed, but kind of takes the edge off.
The brochure lists "access to a range of apps", but I only appear to have tunein radio. I wonder if something is missing. I'll call the dealer tomorrow morning. |

That is the only app that is there today. The other functions that are enabled by the connect version are related to the Nav system. These allow you to search for local information on places and send destinations to the Nav system.
As said earlier there is a rumour that there will be more stuff made available in May but I guess it will be May before we actually know what is coming Good luck with the dealer, they really seem to know very little - let us know how you get on.

Will do regarding the dealer, though I wont hold my breath. When I collected the car today he spent 20 mins trying to find, then download spotify without success, so I'm guessing he isn't clued up either, though to be fair he's been otherwise pretty good.
But as I say, the car otherwise is fantastic, much comfier than the 1-series (hopeless car!) it replaces, and really pleased with the flamenco red colour. Thanks again for all the help/replies. |

Guys, can I ask.......
we've upgraded to the 7" premium audio system. Does one get any goodies with that which wouldn't have been available with the standard 5" high performance sound package? Other than the sound, I mean? Thanks, Arianne.
