V60 d5 twin engine
Howdy all.
Just cancelled a company car order for a merc c350e to jump ship to a volvo, given the diesel engine, none battery power should return 'normal' mpg. Now I've ordered the car though the lease company, however even volvo aren't sure on its UK release date... Anyone on here know other wise? Anyone ordered one? This is the spec http://www.volvocars.com/uk/buy/desi...412-1209228742 Basically standard twin engine spec+ Harmon and kardon family pack black and beige interior metallic dark grey external Looks like I might get one of the first in the country at this rate! |

Delivery due in September according to the 'my volvo' tracking thing....
Although no news on the internet at all about this model? Anyone else taken the plunge yet? |

I have no info on the Volvo however I think you have made a wise choice as a colleague of mine has had a C350e for about 6 weeks now and is massively dissapointed with it. He struggles to get more than 38 mpg combined and coupled to the small fuel tank he only gets about 420 mile range. Fully charged the batteries are out of ideas after 14 miles. The only upside is the 5% bik which it qualifies for.

its the sub 40mpg i'm worried about with the 350e. Lovely ride with the air suspension though.
I'm guessing a 1800kg v60 with a 163 d5 should do about 45-50 on the motorway? |

Thought the D6 ran the 215bhp twin turbo 5pot D5 engine

I thought that model had been consigned to the history books and Volvo hybrids were to be petrol.

I heard it's a detuned D6 specifically to catch a lower tax bracket in places like Netherlands and Belgium. We have a lot of 'special' edition vehicles which are made specifically for that reason.

We have 2 x C350e in our company. They are doing 34 and 38 mpg according to the fuel records. I would put them in the 'crap' category.
My v60 1.6e is averaging 59 mpg over 105,000 miles. But I am a bit (lot) obsessive about it.
