Default Early ETS failure?

Hi

Been driving my new C70 for about a month now and put 2,000 worry free miles on her and so far properly impressed. Lot of little faults but nothing that over duly concerns me for the foreseeable future.

Had a small issue last night and again today with the car on the motorway. It feels like the throttle is fluctuating slightly. It happened initially when I had the cruise control on but as the journey went on I could feel it without as well. There are no warning lights and the car accelerates smoothly and idles smoothly its just when sat at 70 (ish).

When I got the car last month it had just gone through its MOT and the garage had given the ETS a clean.

Doesn't particularly sound like a typical ETM scenario...normally you would be experiencing stalling and fluctuating idle speed..?

It's now on 95k. Had a look earlier and it's got a white sticker not a yellow in the ETM. Does that mean its on its original firmware?

Probably yes.!..but the yellow sticker ones are no better..they all eventually fail 'cos they are all the same iffy design. (Magnetti Marelli ones)..a refurb with upgraded/contactless parts is the way forward if it IS the ETM...but perhaps first you might try to clean it.?...use the search facility on here to guide you as it's well documented.
I've done 105k miles with mine and thankfully it's still going strong...but I know that eventually it will fail.
