indeed , this is indicated with a dull yellow/brown coolant , however most cars will have had this drained off by now and changed except for the neglected ones of course ..

Thanks clan.
Will be sticking to my 8 yearly coolant change regime though. My peace of mind is worth more than the cost. Now I wonder if volvo coolant could be used in my caravan central heating system as that needs changing every 5 years at a cost of £300. It's under manufacturers warrantee so unfortunatly have to employ a registered workshop to do the job. Of course the manufacturer filled it with the cheaper 2 year coolant , Trauma void the warrantee on the boiler if the 5 year stuff is not used so at 18 months old I foot the bill to retain the boiler warrantee. 3 more years and the warrantee is compleated, everlasting volvo fluid would save a fortune. If you want to replace it it's cheap enough to buy from Volvo. They do ready mixed if you prefer.

Thats not so economical to buy it that way , also i don't think they stock it ..
