1999 V70 T5 Clutch/Flywheel
I'm thinking about looking at a '99 V70 T5 Manual to go alongside my '97 V70 2.5 TDi, however the car has been laid up for 18 months, and apparently needs a new clutch.
As they're dual mass flywheels, (and it's on over 200k) I've been looking into what it'll cost me in parts to replace the clutch and flywheel, but i can't find a flywheel for under ~£400, and I can't find an 850r flywheel to do a SMF conversion. Does anyone have the actual part numbers that for the flywheel? Or is it just a case of bite the bullet and close my eyes as I pay the bill? Cheers |

You don't need an 850R flywheel. Any single mass flywheel is fine for the conversion. For the clutch pack itself, try FRF Volvo in Swansea, quoting code C3. Should get a lot cheaper than £400.

Ah ideal, I'll have a look around and see what I can find.
Does the clutch need to be a SMF specific one, or can I use a normal T5 clutch? |

Most common purchase clutch wise is an 850R clutch (FRF have very good prices on these). Better feel and then covers you if you ever decide to seek a smidge more power. Dont forget to change slave cylinder whilst at it.
Most common flywheel choice is from a 2.0 N/A, should be able to get used ones from breakers for around £80.

After viewing it the other day, I'm fairly certain that it's the slave cylinder that's gone, but as it's a box-off job i'll change the clutch over anyway.
Thanks for your help |
