ETM trouble classic or new V70?

Hi,
Reading through everything, is this ETM problem on the new V70 or the classic shape V70???
Is the classic V70 much like the 850 engine wise????

Both, affects '99-'01 years.

The engine is much the same except:
fly by wire throttle (the problem)
variable valve timing (noisey)
different intake and exhaust systems
and some other minor differnces.
