But...if your genuine, bought from a main dealer, part fails you've at least got somewhere to take it back...try doing that on fleabay.
Good point.

One would like to think so but Volvo stopped supplying genuine front wings not too long ago because they were getting them made but a third party and they were crap. Obviously no to original spec there.

If yes, then any recommendations other than genuine which is £107.00?

I'm looking at Circoli, Airtex and First line.
As the others have said your existing pump is most probably just fine but given the mileage/engine hours now is a good time to swap it out seeing as you're going to be in there.

I opened the box with my new Genuine Volvo cambelt and pullies to see 'Made in Slovakia'. I suppose a genuine water pump could also be made in Slovakia, hopefully by a German or Swedish owned company.
This particular Volvo water pump (30751700) is actually manufactured by AISIN. Have a read through the reviews on FCP Euro and check out the current price on OnlineCarParts

Yes, I saw that Bob. Got to be the way to go.

In gathering priced the other day one of the factors said there were two options for my engine, a 14 tooth and a 19 tooth. I cannot find anything further to confirm this. Does anyone know what is correct? I am assuming mine will be a 19 tooth pulley.

Thought I had better whip the cover off today and count the teeth on the water pump pulley to make sure I get the correct one. My pulley has 15 teeth in groups of 3 with 'one tooth' missing between each group. If the 5 missing teeth were there it would have 20 teeth.

The picture posted earlier in this thread does not show groups of 3 teeth with a one tooth space between. Is the tooth arrangement on my pulley correct or is something odd going on?
