Default 1998 Volvo V70 rear screen wash not working

Rear screen wash on my 1998 V70 stopped working, took the pump out the top of the washer bottle, it seemed to be working OK.

Attached a pipe to the feed into the bottom of the pump put it in a bottle of water and switched on. Water started coming out of a hose which goes from the pump outlet upwards in the engine bay, to a clip on top near the filler neck then ends,

Can't work out where the end of this pipe is supposed to connect to get water to the rear screen. There is another end of water pipe hose next to it which goes back down into the engine bay.

Thanks

Nick

Lift the small panel on the righthand side of the boot floor. The washer pipe runs under the sound deadening there and there's a rubber sleeve joint - it's not unknown for the joint to part especially if the washer jet is blocked.
If you need to get the jet out to clean it you have to remove the tailgate trim.

That's exactly what happened to mine when the rear washer jet froze. A couple of cable ties on the joint sorted it.
