54Litres? Mother of Christ.

This spreadsheet is useful. In a 5 speed much over 18L is not worth the cost, JWS3309 is pricey. By about 4-5 sump-dumps/flushes you're done enough. You could get away with 3 dumps, just. Only it'll not be very pink. See attached.

But 54L of Dextron (lots cheaper) isn't quite such an issue.

Back in 2006 my Cassis V70r auto Awd gearbox gave up the ghost at 100k, it was the 4 speed box so Dex 3 was fine to flush it ,which is exactly what I did after I bought it .. Volvo wanted over 3k for a new box on a 5k valued car.

In fact I still have it a oil cooler that I was going to fit to the car, but never got around to it.

Nope, read it three times now.

Angels at 3 o'clock high, wish me luck. I'm now going in for the fourth.
If I'm not back, avenge my death.

I think he has a cooler?

May be interested in the cooler if you can dig it out?
What sort is it? Genuine optional extra?

I bought it back in 2006 think it came off a Xc 90 but will have to check the part number when I find it.

That'll do but any generic small cooler will do as well. 7 or 10 row will do. £25 tops delivered. Easier and cheaper to hose as well. A radiator is a radiator. Nail it in via Dexion or similar. Often oil cooler kits have strapping inclusive. eBay for this.

Of course the ideal is one from a C70, the more grunty C70 had these stock. That ways you'll get the pipe work too.

Using that rad, raid the breakers for hoses with those quick-release fittings a la the ovlov. Cooler is the cheap bit. You can finish-up spending far more hosing the thing than the cooler ever cost. More in my thread on this.
