Default v70xc awd/fwd steering rack interchangeable

hello
have deduced that the 98 v70xc would benefit from a replacement steering rack at some point, does anyone know if one from a fwd is compatible, i understand the awd has an extra guard, thats the only info i have drawn from a search?

Hi, I don't know whether this is of any help but the rack on my 1998 V70 gave up the ghost and I could only replace it with an identical make. these tracks are not interchangeable.

I believe you need to find the part number on yours and get the same one, there's a lot of different versions apparently.
