Default Holiday

Hi all

I'm currently sat at a service station in the 940 on my way to Padstow for a holiday. So far I have done 120 miles and I'm still very comfortable and even being an lpt auto and all the goodies to make it heavy and with the boot full to the brim it isn't lacking and is cruising effortlessly at 70mph.

Hopefully some nice photos to come in the following week.

Only hiccup so far was we were meant to be going in the wife's Clio but when I inspected it this morning before going the coolant was on minimum and mayo in the oil filler cap and dipstick! Only checked it over a week ago, good thing it is under warranty!

Have a good week everyone and enjoy your Volvos

Clios do that. Sometimes cleaning the PCV system sorts it, other times they need a new 'stat and a nice long motorway run after an oil/filter change. Other times they need the head gasket doing and often they just need trading in for a second Volvo!

Enjoy your holiday!

A second Volvo? No !!!

Tactical strategy. One's wife's car should be the FIRST in priority.

Sup with a long spoon ....

Wife needs a big, strong, rugged car that will protect her in event of collision and will not only get her from A to B but back again - Clios rarely fulfill this important second part of the journey!

I did mention how a good 940 estate would be a useful car to have but that was shot down instantly!

Up and down the hills for the 2nd part of the journey arriving in comfort and using less than half a tank to do 250 miles on the dot.
