ABS pump leak- will non TRACS unit fit?

HI. I have an old '94L 854 T5 auto with a leaking ABS pump. Reconditioned units are very expensive, and even once repaired will not have TRACS (source BBA-Reman). Now i have an ABS pump off a similar vehicle that is identical apart from the fact it does not have TRACS (ie only has three ports on one side as opposed to four). Will it be possible to fit this non-TRACS pump and tap off the unrequired line.

Hi My ABS unit on my T5R started leaking brake fluid After much searching I bought one from The Volvo Specialist at Tamworth for £100 The important thing is to fit the correct unit Find the part No off your unit and find out what part No,s superseded it Braydon Motor Co are very helpful but donot fit the wrong part Cheers Alan

I don't think you can replace yours with one without tracs, but I got one off the bay for my S80.
Just ensure its the same model IE ABS & TRACS not STC or just ABS. if ness swop the control unit (If yours is a known good one) and should be fine.
The one I got went straight in, (pump motor went) no need for volvo or any software issues, & worked great.
