Default '62 131. Big pictures :)

Hey all,
ive been posting wanted threads and suchlike everywhere recently, so i thought i would show you all what its all for

'62 2 door, b18 with drums (me thinks someone swapped the engine??), LHD too!

Since ive taken these pictures, ive done:
- Removed chrome strips from windscreen/gutters.
-Removed interior as it was all rotten, not sure in what direction i shall be going on that one though...i may just rebuild all the seat bases (mouldy and rotten)
- Localised repairs on both rear window sills, one only needed a patch and the other needed a complete reconstruction. Also a patch on the roof near the gutter, which is a right pain in the arse!
- New sparkies and leads, still experiencing a slight misfire and hard to start, not investigated that one much in the last few weeks due to bodywork!
- New solid and flexy hoses for the rear brakes, new hoses for the front too when i finally source some disc brakes (i refuse to drive a car this big with drums! its just not safe!)
- Removed the dash pad as it was quite damaged, and dont shoot me here but i quite like the shape of the metal underneath the dash pad, ime going to smooth out the ridges and leave it as it is! feels more roomy in there with no dash pad! (i did the same to my old mini, and in the same way i liked it!)#
-Partially stripped the bonnet, for a rat look bonnet.. but the strypit i used didnt work very well so sand paper is coming out next weekend!

Some pics (it was dark and in my garage!)

Plan for the future is:
- White smoothie wheels with chrome caps, Whitewall inserts on high profile tyres.
- Coils cut for the moment, airbags at a later stage.
- Get all the rubbers replaced and soundproofed
- Fit new headlining i bought!
- Make the interior all cosy and nice . I might leave the back seats out for the time being, i ride downhill mountain bikes, and i can fit my (very big) bike in without much dissasembly, which is quite nice Linky here!

And if anyone is interested in buying a mini, i have this for sale:

1995 spi mini sprite. No MOT or Tax. Needs slight misfire (stepper motor problem i have narrowed it down to) sorting out, electrics to the back need attention and a tidying up.
Currently sitting on a beam axle rear suspension (minus shocks) with 7x10 force racing rims (not sold with it).
Looking for £800. Only needs a slight work to get on the road!

my my what a big post!

Default Fond memories!!

I remember working to the midnight hour in a garage like yours on a 62 122s.

In fact it was this week,,Ha ha ha

Just don't let the ratty retro ride cost the real ride.. mine cost an italian airhostess.. who certainly had the mostest!

Swapped in for a sleeker model - pictures included to keep your pecker (that's moral!) up?
