I agree Dash, thought the seats weren't that comfy and a little over sporty, almost bucket like seats if I remember correctly? I definitely found the other ones easier to get in and out of and also a but more comfort width wise.

The other aspect is that an SE Lix will have leather seats which are very comfy and being leather easy to get in and out of.

I went from Se Lux v70 with inscription leather which were sumptuous and very, very comfortable to the XC60 and I initially noticed the seats in the DC60 are a bit smaller, you won't notice after a few days

My MIL loves the CC60, she says it is easy to get in and out, finds the seats 'supportive' and she is 82 - and very, very demanding

But we have not been able to try a SE or SE Lux as there are none near us in Maidstone. Can anyone tell me if there is any difference in the seats between the 3 models please? We both found the seats of the R-Design a bit narrow too - yeah, I know we should go on a diet!! Are the SE and SE Lux seats any wider?

Thanks in advance,

David
My wife has a hip and spine problem but finds she can slide across the seat in the se great, tried an r design but she found that harder and had to try and move around the bit that hugs which caused her discomfort. The heated seats have been great for her too and didn't find it too uncomfortable on our trip to the smoke.

I found a big difference in the seats and changes again when you go for Lux model so try them all. I had to have the best seats for me but my 18 yr old does find it difficult to get comfy in the front, think it depends how much you pull your trousers up!

Thanks to you Guy's for your advice and comments.

We have today had a very nice drive in a 11 month old XC60 SE Lux Nav D4 Geartronic. We were very impressed with the quality and solidness of the car. I particularly liked the ride on the poorly maintained roads. I loved the growl and power of the 5 pot engine.

Hasten to add we were smitten and agreed to buy the car. We were able to get a reasonable trade price for our 2010 Kia Sorento KX-2 Auto. We managed to get a Volvo detachable towbar and skinny spare wheel kit added in the deal.

We have to wait until 28th of Oct, due to my retirement and daughters wedding. So now we have 3 wonderful events in October to look forward to - can't wait!!!

Ah Russian, I've just got the word for shoes, granddaughter speaks Russian and tries to teach me, think she's flogging a dead horse!

Nice photo.

The Russian text is loosely a translation of "We come unseen" when we used to sneak up on their warships during the Cold War.

Late to the party LampSwinger, but a nice buy.

I had a SE Lux equivalent as a courtesy car for a month prior to delivery, and found the leather seats fine for cruising. I find the R-design seats more comfortable (best I've had a in a car), but don't have a width issue.
