I would have thought it would be Polaris -> Gemini -> Galaxy.

Never heard of Orion's being rare - aren't they just a fairly standard looking 15" design?

Galaxies aren't really the Hens-teeth some think they are. There has been 4 940's with them on sold on Ebay in the last 2 months (2 of them bought by Volvoz2000). I would still like a set as they are nice wheels, but if I had the choice it would be Polaris any day.

And the £500 wasn't fact was it - how could it have been when you refused to indicate any kind of price to me?

Good luck with your sale, hope you get the £££ you wanted.

thankyou, I would be interested to know which scrappy that was as I have just rung a few around the country and the most I can get is £150/ton. Funny, i just bought a CAT C volvo 940 from a scrappy in Birmingham and only paid £190 for the car...... surely they would have weighed it in if it was worth more as scrap....... perhaps you are a little behind the times on the values?

~Oh, and I agree with you about the Polaris...... they look superb on a 940

Yes, but in the sense there's not many about, I've only seen 2 sets for sale (and I bought one of those). I've also only seen one set of Gemini's for sale here (on a 960, member on here).

I've only ever seen one set of Geminis for sale and I bought them, got there as fast as I could lol. Never seen any others, even on cars for sale or members pics of cars.

Need some Polaris and Galaxies though!

As you said earlier, you're not out to make a quick buck.

Galaxies aren't worth as much as Polaris (many more made) and as you say Polaris in mint with near new quality tyres go for around £500 in the UK.

Last set I looked at were in Germany, mint, with Goodyears that had done less than 1000km - 800 euros delivered (for 5)

Cheers,

Buy it now price WITHOUT tyres... £500 - sounds very much like the price I said you were looking for.... And you say you are not trying to make a profit out of that car you bought for £480?

You have a real problem don't you. Where did I say I wasn't trying to make a profit.... I said I hadn't made a profit yet. If you bother to open your eyes you would see it is a buy it now or BEST OFFER with the auto rejection set below 250. If somebody wants them they will make me a best offer. I would like as much as I can get but what is wrong with sticking a high BIN price on the auction???? How about you do us all a favour and go and annoy somebody else for a bit?

FYI, I have offered a scabby set of galaxies that I found for refurb to another forum member who has the right attitude about this and he is happy with the price on those so I can't be far off. They are the sort of money you were after paying but because you got your knickers in a twist over my price for the other set there was no way I was going to offer them to you first. I cannot understand your mentality going out of your way to **** somebody off that might be in a position to help you at some point?

You bend the truth to suit you and cannot be trusted

I thought about it...... and my conclusion was to try a BIN with best offer first and then put them on an auction if I don't get any offers. Whats the problem....? They are my wheels, why can't I sell them how I see fit and try and get as much as possible??????
