Default "Must have" accessories??

I was thinking about accessories my XC60 will "need." I know there is a lot of subjectivity in this area, and variation due to how we use our cars, but here are a few things I just ordered--- have I forgotten anything which I "really" need to add to my car.

So far, I just ordered:

The rear cargo mat;
Four rubber floor mats;
All weather tunnel floor mat;
Front storage pack.

I was thinking about mud flaps, but I am undecided about them.

Front parking sensors are a must (I think they all now come with rear as standard).

I've also found the DAB radio a revelation.

Hope this helps !

Am I alone in being quite happy to live without front parking sensors?

For a relatively low cost accessory (compared to say a tow bar) I can highly recommend the mud flaps. They do a remarkable job of keeping the lower bodywork free of road muck.

I'm sure you are not alone. However, parking sensors (front in particular) seems to be one of those features you only realise you cannot live without once you actually have them.

Hi - not alone, I don't have them either, nor do I have the rear sensors.

I managed without them for 6 years on my previous car which was 6 inches longer with longer overhangs front & rear (without hitting anything!).

My colleague on the other hand has had them on the back of his Merc and still managed to reverse into at least 3 different obstacles, I always think that he'd have been better off saving the money and putting it towards the repairs!

See my post (http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showth...619#post773619) - not spending £245 up front has cost me £350 excess and £472 getting them dealer-fit - I think they're worth while getting up front.

A cheap but useful accessory for me is the glasses holder which replaces a grab handle.

I agree that the front and rear sensors are a good idea. I ordered the car with the convenience package, which includes both the front and the rear sensors.

I am having a bit of regret about not ordering the nav system and Lime Grass Green--green is my favorite color and you cannot get Lime Grass Green on a U.S. spec. XC60 unless you buy it through the overseas delivery program, so I would have had a pretty rare color here.

Oh well.

Well we live in such a narrow road they would be beeping at me all the time on certain bits. I will stick with the Mk1 eyeball - hasn't let me down yet (hope that's not famous last words).
