XC60 return to the fold
Day 3 and loving the opulence of the XC60, even in Momentum trim it is stacked with what other brands class as options
The Good 1. A Blond interior really makes the car seem more spacious and different 2. For a standard sound system it is really impressive. I have heard pieces of the music that I never heard in either the Audi or my previous XC60 3. I am glad I saved my money and not optioned the CarPlay as the USB port does an excellent job delivering as much music content as I want 4. The auto gearbox is a refreshing change from the hesitant S-Tronic one in the Audi quattro 5. I know I am only being gentle as I haven't had chance to do more than 100 miles but the T5 does seem to pull well 6. The voice control is pretty good, I particularly like the 'Too Hot' and the heating is tuned down The Bad (Relative) 1. Hopefully the MPG will get a bit better as the miles pile on as it is showing 17.6 at the moment, buy with my reduced mileage less of a concern and what do you expect moving nearly 2 Tons to 60 in less than 7s 2. The Denim Blue is OK but such a shame Volvo don't have a stronger colour palette The Ugly (No content as this is a thing of beauty ) If that is 'Base' spec then you guy with Inscription Pro and extras must have a class leader

Welcome back to the Club Alan
You will find your mpg will get better from now onwards as the 1st tankful is spent with a lot of idling time during the delivery & PDI procedures, etc. Mine was identical to yours at 100 miles. But now I have done 1,300 miles over the last 6 week, I am averaging 30.1 mpg over the last 1,000 miles as the powertrain loosens up. I am quite pleased with this 30.1 mpg as it competes with my last 2 XC60's both with Polestared D5's that averaged c 32mpg over 7 years - so no complaints in this area.

My average mpg is similar to Simon's. On my D5 with polestar I averaged around 36 mpg. But factor in 8p a litre saving and £3400 saving on purchase price then I too am very happy with it.

Interesting comment about the colour palette. Certainly better than UK Market Audi and Mercedes with all their blacks, white, and greys.

Yes I suppose this was skewed by my options on leasing. Audi don't consider it's an enhancement to include Metallic like Volvo do
My Allroad did look quite smart in 'lease' white as it had the black wheel spats to offset it. I would have paid the additional cost if Volvo had made the likes of Bursting blue available in Momentum spec, but that is not to be The R-Design could have been affordable but with a black headlining and sports seat which people comment on here are not as comfortable that was not an option. Also to add the premium paint would have put the cost beyond what I am prepared to pay for a car

It's always a trade off.
I also went with the T8 XC60 in Momentum spec., as I felt it was still quite classy but then I could use the remainder of my lease budget for other options I wanted. I ended up spending the same as for an Inscription version but with (most of) the options I wanted, which I couldn't afford with the Inscription model as the starting point. My car is NL spec. and so not quite the same as in the UK of course, especially as regards packages. Something to think about when you are specifying these cars. It took me a while to get everything clear anyway as there's so many alternatives ways to get there. AWM |

2. I so agree. I like my Fusion Red, but I would have paid a premium for bursting blue on my Inscription (not an option). We are limited by the approach of Volvo UK marketing.
