Filling the washer bottle
[Having bought a new V60 PHEV car I was surprised to find no windscreen washer fluid. I topped it up, and it slowly vanished below a mesh, out of sight. Volvo said that the self empty was a feature and could not be altered. With no Haynes, what to do? The filler tube had a mesh filter. A pen knife removed that. The fluid was there, just way out of sight. The filler neck has a rubbery tube coming out of it. Hook upwards, and shove a plastic rawlplug into it and fill with super-glue. It then sticks to the side of the filler neck, and is blocked off. Glue bright blue cap ring back in place and watch as fluid no longer vanishes every day. Job done.FONT="Arial"][/FONT]
