Default Engine c30 d2

So drive a 2011 c30 d2 es, had issues on a previous post but turned out to be a dodgy injector. Leads me onto my next question what engine is in the c30? I've heard it's a Peugeot, which is common for injector issues, then I've heard it's a Ford and now I'm hearing it could be a Renault? Which has issues with the fueling system if someone could clarify that would be great

It is the most common diesel car engine used by many manufacturers , mainly Peugeot/Citroen/Ford not Renault.

The Peugeot engine itself is a solid unit. The 1.6 have had an issue with some suffering catastrophic failure but not all. The 2ltr unit is rock solid, it’s the injectors, DPF (if fitted) and EGR that have been the Bain of these engines. I had a V50 with a pre-DPF engine in it. It was economical and when I blanked off the EGR (Yes Yes.. Naughty me) it got more economical and the NOX levels went down along with the particulates. It’s the Eco stuff that been causing issues in what’s a solid engine. Just for the record, I sold my 11yo V50 five years ago and it’s still going strong, Nuff said.
