What do you mean cough?

If there is a bit of hesitation, it could be down to the distributor which gets oily. It could get worse and cause coughing. Most 940s have a bit of hesitation.

There are 2 cures.
1. Put new oil seals in the distributor drive shaft, needs a special tool to knock the pin out.

2. Do the distributorless mod, with a modfication board and coil pack.

It really doesn't need a special tool, I can change the oil seal, fibre washers and o-rings in about 30-45 minutes with no special tools.

The most useful tool for the job is a big hammer.

Ahh yes that's true, unless the amm is moved between turbo and intake, then it does see boost!!

I wonder why the wizkids that figured out how to tune LH2.4 stuff via Tunerpro say boostcut?

It clearly says AMM engine load limit

Just because it is often wrongly called boostcut does not make it right as its a fuel cut not a boost cut
