Default 940 suspension options

I wanna stiffen and lower the 940 but I'm new to the Volvo scene so need some input or advice from other peoples experiences with what set ups best...

Ive been looking at either bilstein B4s or monroe reflex's and i have no idea of springs....

Also do i need shocks or will my standard shocks be up to the job of handling a 40-50mm drop for example?

im running lesjofors -40mm springs front and rear and theyre nice on the road, not a lot stiffer so still rides well but miles better than standard, probably not ideal for any track work though. I also use billy front and rear shocks and again really nice fast road set up.
Id look at something a litte stiffer if you werent too fussed on ride comfort and were loooking for a more sporting ride. coupled with stiffer bushes.

All depends on if you are wanting to make it a little better than it already is or a lot better.
What use is the car?
What are the roads like that it will be used on?
Do you tow or carry loads in it?
