Since owning my Smart car, which has taken over as my daily vehicle, the Volvo is my distance car, or more than two people.
The Smart is more fun.😆 and cheaper to run.
I still like my XC60 so don't really fill the need to change. But never say never.

Now you've got me thinking
I had my first Volvo for about 12 years before I augmented it with a Smart. (Kept the Volvo for another couple of years). Don't see myself changing the V90 anytime soon but a S/H Smart Cabriolet

The new XC90. My actual XC60 will go to my younger sister after she takes her driving license. In 4 years time.

TBH I only bought Volvo to get a full 4 seater folding hardtop car, all others were no more than 2+2, so no brand loyalty, sorry.

(Having said that, when it goes, it really goes! Trouble is, it’s been a bit of a money pit, which doesn’t add too much to the 'Volvo experience')

I have just received my XC90 T8 after a 4 month wait. My expectation (hope) is that Volvo will release a full electric XC90 in the next 3-5 years. If they do then that will probably be my next car

Still 3.5 years for me so too early to tell. Volvo will still be on my shopping list, I did say I wouldn’t go as big as an XC90 again after this but again can never tell.

Will still take a look at Merc as would go back to them and if Volvo prices increase it may be that the value difference becomes less.

Who knows with Brexit it may be an old banger or something like a Ssangyong

Go on you know you want to.
The Volvo great for comfort and easy driving, but my Smart fotwo Brabus is another animal completely, you have to really drive it, no sitting back and letting the car take the strain.
Best car I've ever had for fun, a cabrio would be even better.

While my first preference is to buy British, my second is to buy local. I can't get much more local than my Volvo dealer, although my neighbour is actually a large independent VW/Audi quality used car dealer. I would really like to 'support' them all.

At my age, most likely a Woodie with brass handles on the side, but for now I'll keep my 940.
