I am only trying to help you use the correct terminology.

I don`t care what you call it yourself but it does help when down the pub!!....as it is pub talk.

I Googled the term and have a read it is really common knowledge.

Read the whole thing it may save you time and performance!

I also have that blow off noise, but no BOV. The only thing that I did was removing all the foam from the air filter box and removing the foam from the filter itself. Now, everytime you even accelerate slightly, releasing the pedal gives a blow off noise.

I would argue that high quality OEM plugs are as good, if not better. Cheap, rubbish plugs on the otherhand...

Anyway, do as you see fit, just realise that Volvo will be using some off the shelf plug that they rebranded.

Each to there own but due to the fact the plugs that came out where new Bosch items and as soon as I replaced them my problems have been solved I will stick with the idea that volvo plugs are what I will use from now on

Please take the time to read all threads regarding v40 t4s spark plugs, and then if you still feel you are correct then that's fine as you are allowed your own opinion!!!

Perhaps the plugs you replaced with faulty, fitted incorrectly or were simply the wrong ones for the car. What I am saying, in the most polite way possible, is that you are jumping to conclusions based on incomplete evidence.

TBH I'm sure that Volvo use rebranded Bosch plugs a lot of the time.

That said, I'm glad it sorted your car out...I wouldn't mind a V40 T4 myself!

I have proved it myself over the last 40 years of working on all sorts of volvos , there is no better plug ,and the genuine ones are Usualy Cheaper . They are not simply rebranded , they are developed for each volvo engine in conjunction with the plug manufacturer . You get a misfiring volvo and the odds are very favourable that it has not got genuine plugs in it . That goes for distributor caps and rotor arms too if you remember what they were
