Is the light white or is it yellowish? If the latter then they're halogen (unless like me you've fitted white light halogen bulbs).

OEM HIDs also have a blue ring around the projector visible from the outside.

Says on top of the lamp, either H7 or high voltage blah blah blah.
also - if you happen to have headlamp levelling dial in the cabin, it means you DONT have xenons , so halogen bulbs then (I believe FL still uses H7?)

Face lift is H7s for dipped beam and H9 for main beam, yes.

Regarding this motor, has anyone had to replace it? I've noticed that the OS headlight doesn't raise and lower the dipped beam.

Spent some time cleaning the projectors there other night, took out the HIDS and found that it's a brighter, much clearer light.

nope my passenger side one wouldnt adjust properly due to missing + butchered adjusters so i replaced the pair, meaning i have a good 2nd hand drivers size halogen unit spare if you have no luck

I used the black HEX key adjusters on mine, the white socket adjusters didn't seem to do anything.

Did mine this way at the weekend but didn't seem to make a difference.
I wanted to raise them a bit so did 1 turn clockwise on the black hex.
Is this correct i.e clockwise up anticlockwise down?

Great thread and thanks to LizardofBodom for his extra post on how to move the motor out of the way to get better access to that 3rd screw.

I'll be tackling this job in the near future I think as the darker morning and nights have set in.

Your welcome good luck with it, I may just add that I did this operation 4 times now and every time this trick worked with no colateral damage. Just make sure you use good tool with long reach and also let the headlamp warm up in house/garage before you start doing it, its much better to "operate" on them if not taken directly from freezing outside.
