I'd like one of these !

i recently 'lost' my 340 ....This beauty only had 67k miles, a full MOT, 4 new tyres & a new exhaust when I bought it. It was written-off when I was visiting my wife in hospital. A farmer in his 4x4, towing a trailer which contained a bull, had just 'called into' the hospital to have chemotherapy. He reversed 'through' our Volvo on his way out of the hospital. The insurance gave us £500 for it !! It was like new !!

there should be a picture above this ....????

can I not post pictures from picasa????

nope, I tried to post the pic for you as well

I'd hate something like that to happen to my 740, it would be like loosing a family member

Excellent, it looks great, I was seriously thinking about bidding on it myself, but I have 4 Volvo's already and an Astra, I don't need another car lol

Have you any pic's in the members showroom yet?

Our insurance has a 'classic car' policy whereby you can submit pix of your pride and joy. They will agree a valuation. When our 340 was rammed (by a jag, no less, with substantial damage to the jag but mere flattening of our rear bumper) the insurance wrote it off. The agreed valuation of £1400 was duly paid out. Cost of a second hand bumper, £65 plus time to fit it myself. Well work it out.

Needless to say the car is revalued under classic car policy again.
