Default 700/900 rear axle

Hi There, I'm after a rear axle for a 700/900 that is 3.31:1 ratio (there is a lable on the rear axle on the left hand side that tells you what ratio it is).

I found the 3.31 axle in a late 97/98 poverty spec 940 LPT Manual saloon.

So i would concentrate your search on those cars when hunting in scrapyards as they being poverty spec they thought the owners wanted good crusing MPG's

When i fitted it to my 940 sport it certainly did drop the revs quite a bit, if i recall it did allow silly speeds to be possible in 2nd and 3rd.
