reading the press release about how much trouble they had fitting a v8 under the lid of the xc90, i somehow doubt they'll be able to squeeze it under a smaller car. they need to turbo it and it'd be a serious competitor to a cayenne turbo.. for half the price :o

btw, its not rhd.

Would love to see it happen. If you consider that M5's and RS6's are around £20k more than the current R, that in itself gives Volvo a lot of financial leeway to pull out all the stops and invest in a proper thoroughbred to compete on level terms. Stiff competition though!!!!!

It does exist, it's available now in the States for dealers to show and is a 60* V8 for compactness
