The XC60 - especially the T6 model - is very hard on and sensitive to engine mountings ... replacing the top mounting and an engine "pad" somewhere at the bottom cured my harsh selection of "D" position.

So went into main dealer for service and adaptions reset. The problem disappeared for an hour then came back.

They say its an internal oil leak causing the issue and the solution is a new box at approximately £6k. Hopefully Volvo will contribute and the dealer is doing their bit to make a case for it.

Sad times

I have a v60 d3 with the same problem. It doesnt really bother me as such just worries me its going to end in an expensive repair bill!

Mine is out of warranty

Does it need to go to the main dealer for diagnostics or to another garage for a gearbox oil change
How much do you think i will be looking at paying?

Did the original poster get his/hers sorted?

Scanned the posts so my comment may not be relevant...but I found that if you follow the correct procedure of engaging the e-parking brake, THEN move the gear selector to P prevents jolting. And therefore no jolting moving the gears from P to D. As your obviously locking the wheels in the same place as the auto box.

So you're saying it might be jolting because im letting the car roll against the parking mode before engaging the brake? Interesting theory. I hope you're right. Ill let you know

Thanks
Christian
