I did the above on my 2004 auto, the final bit was a download and update at my local indie garage, that made the difference , been excellent ever since , nearly 2 years ago.

Thanks for the handy information to you all. Much Appreciated.

We've still got around to changing the fluid but we'll getting that sorted soon.

One thing I've noticed with the car when I drive uphill is that it revs higher because it seems to be dropping into the wrong gear. What I mean is that when I go uphill in what should be 5th ( I only know this by knocking it into manual and its shows 5). I drop down to 4th and the revs will still be about 3000rpm and then knock it back up into 5th and the revs drop down. The brains of the box then realises there isn't enough umph and then goes back into 4th like it should. I'm wondering if the engine is down on power enough to be out of sync with what the gearbox expects to see and it cant get the choice right?

Any thoughts anyone?

When I bought my T5 V70 geartronic, the box slipped in all gears, especially when it was cold. I did a drain and fill, when I drained the black smelly fluid, there was only 1 1/2 litres of fluid came out, I put 3 1/2 litres of jws 3309 back in to get to the full mark. The car drove 100% after that, so I would advise a drain and fill first.

You mean you still haven't changed the oil after 11 months and wondering why it isn't working properly?
