Default XC60 Dirty rear doors.

As the owner of a 2018 XC60 with the dirty inner rear door syndrome, I was wondering if there has been any modification on the latest versions to stop this?
Anyone with an XC60 will know what I mean.

Can’t comment on the MY20 XC60’s, bobby2000, but having had the MY18 like yours and now the V90CC without the door sills covered, SWMBO only commented this morning about getting the back of her legs dirty on the door sills.

Not sure which is worse - dirty inner back doors which can be cleaned relatively easily or dirty legs/trouser legs....certainly less “earache” about the former!!

That's a good point, I certainly like the fact that you get to have a nice clean inner sill and it's also narrower, which makes it easy to get in and out of. I'm in for a my 2nd service at the end of the month, I will try to remember to have a look at a new one in the showroom.

Thanks for the update, I was hoping that there might have been a modification by now .

There’s a mod from AliExpress but not from Volvo

https://www.aliexpress.com/i/32968887627.html

For $40 you even get to colormatch it to your XC60, if the dirt bothers you so much I personally couldn’t care less about it..

There's a discussion on Swedespeed at the moment discussing what looks like an official Volvo part:

That certainly looks like it could stop some of the crap getting in.
It dosen't bother me in the short-term, but as I'm looking to keep the car for quite a few year's, I'm a bit concerned about long term, as to whether rust might set in with constant abrasion and our winter salt.

I have just asked the dealer if my new car will come with these or not.
