1991 Volvo 945 SE Turbo. Edinburgh. £2500
Hi all,
Winter is (hopefully) coming to an end and with that, it's time to sell my winter project. She's been a bit more of a project than I originally bargained for, but she's now in a great place mechanically and she looks quite nice too. In short, it's time for somebody else to take her forward as I won't have time during the spring and summer. I've attached a PDF documenting most (not all) of the work I've done on her over the winter. Feel free to ask any questions if I've left stuff out. Headlines: 1991 Volvo 940 2.0 SE High Pressure Turbo. Martin Smith chipped EZK and Fuel ECU. Manual Boost Controller. New Elring Head Gasket and all ancillary gaskets/seals. Head skimmed and pressure tested. New Volvo Timing Belt (Square tooth) and tensioner. Complete Stage 0 done. All filters, coolant, brake fluid, turbo vacuum hoses, plugs, brake booster hose, servo check valve and rubber grommet, rotor arm, distributor cap, leads, wiper blades & magic tree (Vanillaroma ) New thermal compound on ignition amplifier. Injectors refurbished to "as new". New Exhaust from cat back. Leaky Nivomats removed and replaced with heavy duty springs and new gas pressure shocks. New Nissens Radiator. New 89 degree thermostat. Front and rear wiper linkages and motors replaced. New indicator/side light units. Original head unit present with code. Sony bluetooth unit fitted. Uniroyal Rain Expert tyres on 5 alloys, all with plenty of tread. Dash bulbs all replaced. Volvo dog guard fitted. Tow bar with electrics. Original Volvo snow trays fitted. 181k miles. I think the MOT is until April. I'll look to get this renewed. Bits still to do: The rev counter is stuck at 2500 rpm come rain, hail, or shine. I might have fixed this quite shortly. Otherwise it will need repaired/replaced. There's no rot on the underside of the car at all but the back of the battery tray will need a patch repair in the next year or two. 2 small areas of lacquer peel on the bonnet. Otherwise the paint is very nice indeed for its 32 years of age. Price: Enthusiast price of £2500 dead, absolutely no offers. Otherwise I'll take my chances with the nutters on eBay/Gumtree/Marketplace. Photos:

Sold pending collection to enthusiast owners who wished they'd never sold her a shade over 3 years ago
