Default Volvo 480 Trailing arm

Does anyone know if the rear trailing arm is the same on all 440 460 and 480? Mine has snapped in half on my celebration and I need a replacement, Volvo want over £100 so going to try the scrappies first but there are a lot more 440s and 460s than 480s!

Anyone have VADIS or know a part number? That should narrow it down!

Thanks, Mark.

Hi

Don't know where you are in the country but I have a complete car which has been comprehensively stripped during the restoration of 2 480's (one of which is finished) - I was about to put it on eBay at the weekend - has a superb engine & gearbox etc. still runs & can move it onto a trailer using a set of old 440 wheels but obviously is not road legal & would need the trailer to collect - has the part you need - be happy for it to go to a member for very little money - I'm in Northants. If interested, reply & I'll give you my email.

Best wishes,

Brian

Thanks for the offer Brian! I can't take a whole car though - already have a Jeep and 3 too many Volvos! If you decide to break it then let me know and I will certainly buy the trailing arm - it's the UK Passenger side by the way! I'd be interested to see your projects - Maybe start a "Project" Thread with some pictures?

Thanks, Mark.

That's ok - I have the same problem - can't break here, needs to go complete to cure my earache!

Finished is a '91 480ES "Paris Special" in the blue metallic & 2-tone Grey/Green leather (63,000 with full vsh) which my wife is now driving - just have the 2 front seats to restore the leather back but will do that soon - still have to complete an '89 Turbo model which needs work but that should be on the road by Spring. Also have a 20 year old 760 Turbo (my daily workhorse) and an 850 T5!!!!................

Cheers,

Brian

Not many paris and two tone left! I am in the middle of restoring a celebration but just coming up against more and more rust, not sure if it is restorable!

Does anyone know if the trailing arm is the same for all 440 460 and 480? Does anyone have a part number for UK Passanger side trailing arm or have VADIS and would be able to check for me?

Thanks, Mark.
