Maybe the cam belt but definitely not the ancillary belt.

The ancillary belt on my previous S60 D5 went at 59,000 miles. The inner strand (engine side) of the six stripped off and started to tangle around the components. Luckily I was sat at traffic lights when it happened, I heard it, switched off straight away, it was still a mess. I got away with that one.

My 2007 Freelander 2 with Volvo 3.2i6 engine seized the tensioner bearing just short of 230000km/11 years, ripping the ancillary belt longitudinally into 3 "belts" prior to it snapping. So yes, the belts can last for quite a long time.

Being exposed to LR pricing over many years, it beggared belief how cheap the OEM kit consisting of belt, idler and tensioner was from the agents. Around GBP100 equivalent.

After watching some youtube videos, I replaced it myself. It is tedious though, the amount of stuff which has to be removed/slackened off just to see what you are doing.
